Common diameters

Even footprints center between blocks; odd footprints use one center block. Mixed oval footprints use a center line on only one axis.

Sphere build workflow

  1. Enter the full sphere diameter or switch to radius input.
  2. Choose Hollow shell or Solid, then confirm shell thickness if needed.
  3. Move through layers with the slider and build the current layer row by row.
  4. Use selected-layer print or CSV for large spheres instead of one screenshot.

Sphere outputs

  • Current-layer preview with optional previous-layer ghosting.
  • Layer summary table, current-layer rows, total block count, stacks, and shulker estimate.
  • All-layer CSV, current-layer CSV, selected-range CSV, and selected-range print sheet.

Sphere mistakes to avoid

  • Do not collect materials from hollow mode if you plan to build solid.
  • Complete one layer before changing Y level.
  • Use top-down or bottom-up direction consistently when following printed layers.

FAQ

What is previous-layer ghosting?

It lightly shows the neighboring layer so you can compare how the shell changes as you build upward or downward.

When should I use selected-range CSV?

Use it when a large sphere is easier to split into sessions, such as layers 1–10 today and 11–20 later.

Does shell thickness affect block count?

Yes. Hollow shells with thicker walls include more blocks than a one-block shell.
