Does the count include air or empty center space?
No. The count is based on generated block cells for the selected outline/filled or hollow/solid mode.
Why do stack counts have a remainder?
Minecraft stacks hold 64 blocks, so the tool reports full stacks plus leftover blocks.
Can I estimate shulkers?
The result summary includes a shulker-style estimate derived from stack counts.
